Dory Richards, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Dory Richards has been freeing people from the obstacles that hold them back at her counseling center in Spring Hill, Florida since August of 2017. Though Dory has been practicing as a therapist since 2012, her journey truly began as a child. She always knew she had a calling to help people heal, but her brother had told her that nursing would never be for her. Dory brings a warm, compassionate, and caring energy to her clients. She specializes in improving self-worth, helping couples and families resolve conflicts and develop powerful communication skills, effective parenting strategies, making life transitions, reducing anxiety, and creating healthy boundaries. Most importantly, she instills hope, helps you create possibilities, and develops a sense of inner peace. Dory’s counseling philosophy is to listen without judgment and try to understand who you are, walk alongside you with compassion, and provide guidance and authentic feedback by coaching you through the process to create solutions.

Combined with cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-based Christian counseling, Dory is able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good mental health. This combined technique eliminates those obstacles of fear, depression, and anxieties that tend to hold us back.

Sean Krause, Registered Marriage & Family Therapist Intern

Sean spends his time out of the office going on adventures with his fiancé which typically involve backpacking, kayaking, hunting, fishing, and disc golf. Sean believes that nature provides healing properties, which allow him to recharge when he is not providing therapy. Sean also enjoys woodworking and cooking as other enjoyable activities.

Sativa Fisher, Licensed clinical social work

When Sativa isn’t in the office she stays active. Sativa has always had a passion for the arts and enjoys all forms of self expression. She regularly likes to get messy creating with acrylic or oil paints. She enjoys dance and acting when the time allows. She believes there is something about the arts that allows people to get in touch with their inner most feelings and express them in a way people could never verbalize. She says the arts add so much uniqueness to the human experience. Sativa also likes watching medical dramas and true crime shows. Very frequently Sativa can be found volunteering at her church. She enjoys helping and serving in her community just to show the community love, joy and hope.
